SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS - NO DEGREE NEEDED
Job Description
White River Academy is accredited by AdvancED, the Northwest Accreditation Commission. The substitute teacher is not required to have a teacher s license and will only work as needed to cover the teacher s classroom. This candidate needs to be on call and in some cases be able to cover a classroom with very short notice to cover a classroom
NO DEGREE NEEDED
We need 5 to 6 substitute teachers that our teachers may call on to cover their classrooms. This is not a full time position and there are no benefits associated with this position. You must be able to be on call with very short notice to cover the classroom. You must be 21 years of age and need to pass a criminal background check, and have your CPR and First Aide Certification or achieve it within 60 days of hire date
Salary is between $12.00 to $15.00 an hour based upon experience.her.
Responsibilities
Evaluate, teach, and tutor lessons taught. Evaluate and grade content work and tests. Be trained and use Positive Peer Culture,(PPC), and then Implement Positive Peer Culture and the Developmental Vacation Treatment. Encourage students to meet their goals. Assist students in understanding and gaining mastery of work sections where they encounter difficulty. Maintain a clean classroom. Maintain a good learning environment where students have a reasonable ability to accomplish work. Monitor student progress reports or lack of progress to the WRA full time teacher.
